This photo of Matt Dallas was used for the cover of Scholastic Math magazine. Advanced techniques using Photoshop’s channels were required to mask his hair in order to replace the background. Every strand of his hair has remained intact.

This photo was used for the cover of Scope magazine. Per the graphic designer’s instructions, I altered the color of the sky, removed the plants from the side of the road, and extended the field in the background. I also enhanced the details in the teenager, ATV, and helicopter.

This photo was used for a poster about winter animals. I removed the blue color cast, corrected the exposure, and enhanced the detail in the snow and the rabbit’s fur.

My client, a jeweler, wanted to display her work online, but her photographs had severe color casts. In this example, I restored the shiny silver necklace and leaf pendant and replaced the clear stone with a green one. I also removed the background and added a soft shadow. The difference is quite dramatic.

My client, Zen Home, wanted me to alter several photos. In this one, I removed the door, shelf, cord, and electrical outlet from the background, smoothed out the blotchy blue paint, and fine-tuned the exposure.

My client, The Cannon Group, wanted me to remove the alcoholic drinks and replace the female model’s clothing in several photos for OneWorld Apparel. I replaced the model’s dress with the shirts, belts, and pants that were being advertised. I also cleaned up her flyaway hair and corrected both models’ skin tones.

The final advertisements were displayed in New York City and Los Angeles.

This photo was used for the cover of Scholastic News magazine. The cover story was “A Night at the Firehouse,” so the art director wanted the scene to take place at night. I extended the image, replaced the background with a starry night sky, and altered the colors of the foreground accordingly. I also removed text, logos, and other elements from the firehouse and fire trucks.

This photo was used in DynaMath magazine. I created a complex mask to isolate the spider’s legs so the graphic designer could place the article’s headline underneath them. I also corrected the overall color and enhanced the details.
